"Nation's Next Top Model Home" competition features a local designer

Have You Cast Your Vote?

"Nation's Next Top Model Home" is a web-based reality competition that challenges seven designers to use their talents to merchandise the primary living areas of seven new model homes within a Wilmington, North Carolina master-planned community.

The finalists were chosen from a national casting call and are competing fora $25,000 cash prize and the title of "Winner of Nation's Next Top Model Home."

A Dallas resident, Susanne and other six designers are showcased in a weekly webisodes and their work through interviews, video blogs, and journals. In addition, numerous and awkward "designer challenges" are presented to weekly to heat up the competition, which each weeks challenge outcome is determined by an online vote.

All in all, Susanne will have 28 days and design budget of only $5000 to turn unfurnished rooms into beautifully staged living space. During this time, viewers can follow her progress and challenge online - anytime, every day.

The winning design and designer will be announced on October 3, 2009 at a special showcase event.
The competition takes place in brand new model homes at Compass Pointe, the 2009 "Nation's Next Top Model Home" host community located just minutes from the historic downtown and beaches of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Susanne Walker's profile, blog, and self-documented videos of progress of the design process of her 28 days to complete the project in the "Nation's Next Top Model Home" can be found on the competition's website at
